Wall & Other Lighting — Layer Your Home's Atmosphere

Wall lighting is the secret weapon of well-designed interiors — versatile, space-efficient, and capable of adding extraordinary warmth and atmosphere without taking up any floor or table surface. Our Wall & Other Lighting collection includes wall sconces for living rooms and hallways, plug-in wall lamps that require no electrician, bedside reading lights, picture lights for artwork, and decorative string lights and LED strips for accent and mood lighting.

The practical distinction between hardwired and plug-in wall sconces is more important than it's often treated. Hardwired sconces require an electrician and produce a clean, cord-free installation — appropriate for permanent placements where aesthetics are the priority. Plug-in alternatives offer the same visual effect with a cord that either routes along the wall or drops behind furniture, and they can be repositioned without renovation. For picture lights, beam angle and CRI matter most: a narrow beam concentrates light on the artwork without spilling onto surrounding wall surfaces, and a CRI above 95 renders artwork colours faithfully without the shift that lower-CRI sources introduce. Outdoor and bathroom wall lights should carry an appropriate IP rating (IP44 minimum for bathroom zones, IP65 for full outdoor exposure).

For a complete layered lighting scheme, combine wall lighting with Ceiling Lights and Floor & Table Lamps. Explore Adesso for modern accent and wall lighting designs.

Whether you're adding the final layer to a fully lit room or transforming a hallway with a single well-placed sconce, wall lighting is one of the highest-impact, lowest-effort upgrades you can make to a home.
