Ceiling Lights — The Foundation of Every Room's Lighting Design

Ceiling lights do the heavy lifting in any room's lighting plan, and our Ceiling collection ensures that heavy lifting looks good too. Browse flush mount lights and close-to-ceiling fixtures for rooms with lower ceilings, semi-flush designs that add visual interest without requiring height, pendant lights and hanging fixtures for kitchens, dining rooms, and feature spaces, and chandeliers for statement rooms that demand something truly special.

Lumen output and colour temperature (CCT) are the two specs that determine whether a ceiling fixture actually lights a room well. A 60W equivalent LED in a fully enclosed opaque shade may produce only 400–500 lumens at the task plane — adequate for a bedside lamp, wholly inadequate as the sole ceiling source in a 4x4m room. Rooms used for tasks like cooking or reading need at least 300 lux at the work surface, which typically requires 2000–3000 lumens from a central fixture in a standard ceiling height room. Colour temperature should be selected by room use: 2700–3000K (warm white) for bedrooms and living rooms; 3500–4000K for kitchens and bathrooms where colour accuracy matters. IP ratings are important for bathroom and outdoor-adjacent installations.

For layered lighting, complement your ceiling fixtures with Floor & Table Lamps for ambient and task lighting, and Wall & Other Lighting for accent and atmosphere. Browse by brand including Adesso for modern designs.

Whether you're lighting a single room or planning a whole-house lighting scheme, ceiling lights set the tone. Browse the collection and find fixtures that illuminate your space beautifully.
